After two days of travelling we arrived in Scotland yesterday. Unfortunately the weather is not going to be to good this week but I will try and make the best of it.
The First day on an unknown location is always a bit difficult for me. Where is the sun rising, how does the light fall, what are the most beautiful places and what is the weather going to do? Because of this I usually won’t make much pictures on the first day. I often use it more to explore the environment but today seems to be an exception.
We are staying in the beautiful Tummel Valley and because today is the only day with a good weather forecast I’m off for an early start. Driving trough the valley I’m passing by beautiful landscapes, fast streaming rivers, snowy mountain tops and even some wildlife. All found within 45 minute of my holiday home.
I’m making multiple stops trough the valley and when the light beams start coming through the clouds I’m getting exited. I’m able to make some amazing pictures due to the light falling on the mountains. At the end of the valley I’m literally in no-man’s-land. There is a small train station but around it there are miles and miles with nothing but wilderness. I spot a group of red deer that stand beautiful in the landscape and again I manage to make some great pictures. If the weather stays good this can be an amazing week!
