Once again I’m at the Deelerwoud to hopefully see Red Deer. I’m walking to the spot that I chose last week and after I’ve put up my camera the waiting starts. The waiting takes long... very long!
It is much colder then I’ve expected and after 2 hours sitting in the cold there is still nothing. At the moment my head starts thinking about leaving a big Red Deer male appears with 3 females behind it. Best of all is that it walks straight at me. Just 25 meters in front of me it stopt, looks around and decides to take another route. I’ve managed to get some great shots but damn why didn’t it walk any further. The Red Deer walks up a hill stops there for a few seconds and then disappears out of sight.
Next week I will have to hide myself even better. On my way back to the car I see some groups of deer but all too far away for a good photo. My tactic seems to work, hopefully next week they will come even closer.
